Valenzia Cina

Graphic Design & Illustration

Hello! My name is Valenzia Cina, and I am an Illustrator and Graphic Designer born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin. I have drawn for as long as I can remember, and my love for art has defined my life. I always knew I wanted to be in a creative field and I am so happy that I have found a career that will allow me to create on a daily basis. When I am not making art I enjoy reading, listening to music, (mostly K-pop), and traveling with friends.

Hatch Art House

This booklet and accompanying gifts were made for Hatch Art House, a local art gallery and shop. The items would be sent to top customers as a token of gratitude. I wanted to create this booklet within the brand's existing colors and aesthetic while putting a new twist on the content. For this project, I included one of my own paintings and other local artists' work to ensure I was reflecting Hatch’s mission of displaying local talent.

The Rolling Stones

An exploration of type and line, this series is meant to celebrate the legacy of the Rolling Stones. I aimed to create a poster series that was grungy, gritty, and out there with splashes of color and rhythm.

Emotional

This ad series promotes a lecture about how emotions influence our thinking process. Through a limited color palette and focusing on human form, I aimed to invoke feeling and gain the viewer's interest in the event.

Book Cover Redesigns

People always say to not judge a book by its cover... but I think it's safe to say that most of us do. That’s why I decided to start redesigning covers for a few of my favorite books. I wanted to create cover art that reflected the wonderful stories, themes, and characters, compelling the viewer to pick the book up and get lost in its pages.
